How busy is Christmas day travel?

Usually not busy at all... many people have posted about empty flights... and frequent op upgrades on Christmas Day.

That would depend on where the travel is (to/from). In some places Christmas Day isnt celebrated.

Note in many countries which do celebrate Christmas there are reduced or no travel services (plane, train, bus, ferry) on Christmas Day.

For this reason I am wary of planning travel on Christmas Day.

I flew Dec 25 last year, and they were seeking volunteers. This was MH from LAX-TPE.

Also, MSP-anywhere warm tends to be overbooked too.
