Gatwick day rate hotels?
 

I thought I read here that one of the hotels (Gatwick Hilton?) has a day rate. This could be useful for a long connection (8 hours). I'm too lazy to call Hilton. The Hilton website says nothing. Anybody know?

You could always use Priceline, and then just call the hotel a few days before your arrival to ask if they'll let you check in early. Of course there's some risk in doing this, as a room may not be available when you want to arrive and the reservation is non-refundable.

I know the Hilton Gatwick's rack rates are quite high; I got this hotel for $99 US plus tax for one night last November. You might be able to drop the hotel an e-mail if you don't feel like calling.
