Berlin to Budapest

Is there an interesting, and also easy, way to get from Berlin to Budapest - driving or by train, rather than flying - in order to see something of the countryside of both countries?

Berlin-Budapest

There are 2 direct Eurocity Trains each day, taking about 12 hours and costing about E 107, in 2nd Class. 1st class is of course also available at a higher price. These are nice trains with restaurant cars. Thr trip goes via Dresden and the Czech Republic. It should be a scenic journey, in part along the Elbe River through "Saxonian Switzerland".

You may check the DB (Deutsche Bahn) website international access page, and get information about all European train routings right there.

Would definitely recommend the train for a nice and scenic journey -- driver can't see much but the road if you go by car.
