Smoking at EWR?
I'm flying my father out from EWR to LAX on American Airlines in August (upgraded with miles, thankfully, so he won't have to endure AA's awful coach product.) :)
He's smoked a pack a day for 50 years, refuses to quit, and, of course, is always searching for a place to smoke. I know NYC and California ban smoking in virtually all public buildings, but does the AA terminal at EWR have any bars that allow smoking or other indoor smoking areas? Dad can easily endure a 6-hour flight without smoking as he flies to Europe every so often on CO (he's told me terminal C is completely non-smoking) but I seem to recall that other terminals at EWR permit smoking. Do they still? Thanks. |
According to the airport website, " **Smoking is prohibited in all public areas inside the passenger terminals at Newark International Airport with the exception of specifically designated areas within the liquor bars, where smoking is permitted."
http://www.panynj.gov/aviation/ewrshopsframe.htm When I transited through Newark about 2 years ago, the TGIF at Terminal A had a smoking area. |
I've recently been in Terminals A & C - no smoking except outdoors and on the other side of security.
