Weather in Cebu (Philippines) in mid-May ...
 

While in SE Asia next month, I will have an opportunity to visit Cebu in the Philippines (if I wish). Would anyone know about the weather in Cebu in mid-May? Will it be the rainy season at that time? Thanks much.

Don't know the norms, but I was there in June several years back. The weather was high 80's and clear every day. Went diving in Bohol. (Some of the best SCUBA I've found in SE Asia)

It's been a long time and my brain was addled by a LOT of San Miguel, but I recall it being the best month of the year in the PI. Rain had pretty much slowed down and it wasn't oppressively hot, yet. Enjoy.

Should be OK but not great. May is the last summer month there and can get quite hot, but Cebu is much better positioned for that than inland places like Angeles (where heat & humidity will really get you). "Roast in May, wade in October" is the general rule for the region, but Cebu usually escapes the worst of the heat and monsoons.
