Website for weekend construction alerts in MD & DE
I asked this question in the "Mid Atlantic" forum but got no response so perhaps the traffic (pun intended) is heavier here.
We're driving roundtrip to Baltimore from NYC on Sunday. I think I can find construction alerts on the NJ Turnpike. But what about on I-95 in Maryland, Delaware and even up toward Philly (we'll be taking a cheesesteak break). Anyone know how I can find out if there are major plans for construction so I can plan alternate routes? Thanks. |

This should help for the Delaware portion. You should be fine as long as you take I-495 in Delaware. There is some construction going on around Exit 4 on I-95 in Delaware, but that is limited to the overnight hours. |
Besides your normal heavy Sunday traffic on I-95, your drive in MD should be just fine. You can go to www.chart.state.md.us to view traffic conditions before you leave and The Washington Post and Baltimore Sun offer weekly construction hot zones:

Trafficland has lots of traffic cameras in MD/DC/VA, including a bunch near Baltimore.
