bmi use the Airbus 320 family on virtually all routes now, and have the standard seat width for this, which is slightly wider than the Boeing 737 (I can't remember the exact dimension). In business, the 3+3 seating becomes 2+3. On the left (A-C) side, the centre seat collapses, and the A and C widen (so the aisle is off-centre). So you get a couple of extra inches space, and on the A-C seats, a gap between them. On the right, all seats expand. The front half of the cabin has convertible seats, and the curtain can be moved. This was, until recently, pretty standard within Europe. Now, however, some airlines go for 3+3 (KLM), some for 3+3 with the centre guaranteed blocked (LH) and some were always the expanded 2+2 (AF).

Great Airline, great on time performance! flew several times and will do again.

Luggage = 10 kg, this is little, so I normally fly for a day or so keeping a rental car at the remore airport such as Frankfort/Hahn and load only for the day or one night. They take a heavy charge for extra luggage

planes: I flew new Boeings, so complains.

The shuttle bus will take you to Palais de Congres, next to the metro station
Porte Maillot. All very easy and a piece of cake really if you compare it to commuting to/from CDG. Once you´ve picked up your luggage from a small squeaky conveyor belt its only 2 minute walk to the shuttle busses.

It's 15 kg for checked baggage, plus 10 kg carry-on

I used Ryanair during the Christmas holidays on a roundtrip from London to Baden Baden, and it was not a bad experience. Although, by the time I booked it, the cheap fares were gone, my flights still priced more cheaply than anything on a major carrier going to a nearby airport, and had the added advantage of saving me a couple of extra hours of travel time on a very tight schedule. Some English people I'd met along the way had cautioned me about their baggage handling (which, after further research, I think may really have applied to oversize items), so I left a bag at STN and just took a carryon; I did notice at Baden airport the bags came out really fast. Check-in at STN was very fast, and the guy was certainly polite; security was a very, very long line, but it was orderly and moved quickly. I got an exit row seat on both flights so was comfortable. Check-in in German had a much longer and slower line, but security was very fast. I'd do it again.
