Two months for credit to post to credit card for charge in PVG?
 

Had a great meal at the Club Jin Mao in the Grand Hyatt Shanghai. Later looking at the bill I discovered we were charged for a bottle of wine when I only had one glass.

Finally got Hyatt to issue a credit, but message from Shanghai indicated:

"It will take 2 months for the credit card center here."

How different is the banking system in China that it takes this long for a credit to post?

I don't know why, but I also had a similar experience, with my hotel charge for my stay at Regal not posting until one month later, posted under "International Tennis Center." Try explaining that as a hotel charge to the accounting department!

Guess you'll recommend Club Jin Mao for food only and not necessarily service?

Not sure about China but my bill for a stay at the Sofitel Vielle Tour in Guadelupe check out 11/30/04 has not yet posted to my Diners.
Bill was 750 euros and I fear it might post when the rate is $3 = 1 euro. :D
