For good eats check out Cooke's cafe behind the Powerscourt Townhouse off Grafton St. Avoca cafe upstairs in the Avoca shop on Suffolk St (bottom of Grafton St) does a great lunch or brunch or afternoon tea.

Peploe's on Stephen's Green is great (especially if you like wine). You can sit up at the bar and order a bowl of fries and a glass of wine (a selection of 25 by the glass!) any time of the day.

I am really pleased with this site as I really appreciate first hand information. If you are considering a trip to Chicago, I could definitely help you out with great restaurants and sights. It's truely a wonderful city!!
Again, thank you!!!!

Good advice except for two things, Dr. D - Murphy's can be found at many bars around Dublin (and at Barney's in Pasadena ;)), and it's Beshoff's (not Beshov's) which I find ranks below Leo Burdock's.

i agree. i found the food at the boxty house bland-the boxty were more like ordinary pancakes not like the ones my granny used to make.
