New Tumi wheelaways coming?
Just returned from Hong Kong, where Lane Crawford has all the non-expandable wheelaways on sale (30% off). In Singapore, 15% off. The sales staffs told me that those are discontinued. Does anyone know anything about the replacement? The thought of upgrading all my Tumis... argh...
I was hoping they would keep the current design for years to come. :( |
My source tells me that the current "fusion z" line will be re-worked this spring with a few minor (mostly cosmetic) changes. My understanding is that the new series will look a lot like the new "gen 4" leather products.
On the rollaways I don't think that there will be any noticable changes aside from the loss of the leather embossing tag on the front. Call your local Tumi store... someone there should have some details. |

Unfortunately the Tumi salespeople (at SIN boutique and HKG Lane Crawford) were quite secretive about it. They only answered "don't know yet" when asked when the replacement is going to arrive. |
