In order to save some money...
 
Have you heard of any funny money saving ideas our beloved airlines have instituted?

For example I heard AA saved $20k a year in fuel costs by removing the olives from salads.

Didn't they also remove the pocket on the back of the seat that would hold the airsickness bag and safety card?

And the reclining mechanism from the seats. Or at least this is what is happening on new deliveries.

I thought this was going to be about silly things travelers do to save money. So I'll post one of those.

I was reading another board and people were talking about how they take their own coffeemakers to Vegas to save money :rolleyes:

It wasn't fuel savings...just a (significantly) lighter grocery bill when they went from 3 olives to 2 at a FA's suggestion.
