Sorry to have to tell you this, but you are wrong. You need to do what I have done and spend some serious time doing honest research on this issue. Allah is NOT the god of the Judeo/Christian peoples. He is one of the 360 gods that pre-islam Arabs worshipped. I won't bother you with the details, a simple internet search will bring up many scholars who document all of this.
Looks like having a muslem best friend does not make you an expert on islam. :p

Yes. Moreover, I have seen Muslims and Orthodox Jews praying. Have seen both faiths quietly praying and co-existing on AF, BA, LY, SR. I don't recall anyone being inconvenienced.

Hah! Now all of you who doubted my post about Americans and their flamboyant displays of ignorance can just think again. ;)

A simple Internet search will also bring up many "scholars" who claim that the Holocaust did not happen.

Ignorance is not asking questions and not trying to learn new things no matter where you're from IMO. Sure it's fun to have lively conversations like this, but let's give the OP credit for asking questions about this.

Muslim's are not common in every section of the world, I had to explain onboard prayers to my wife and kids as they've never seen it either. I would rather have folks ask questions about what they don't understand then not ask them, isn't that what FT is all about?

I wasn't referring to the OP, but rather the poster who claims to know who Allah is.

In that case, sorry, thought the first one was at the OP. I'll stand up for ignorance, but I'm not touching the Allah / God issue ;) .

I suppose that on some level if I have to use the restroom really badly and there are people praying in the aisles that make it more difficult (or even impossible to pass) that it's annoying in some sense of the word.

It's also wholly appropriate (whether you share their faith or not) to be GRACIOUS and ACCOMODATING to others.

Whether you are Muslim, Christian, Jewish, or an athiest -- a little consideration can go a long way. :)

I don't blame you for not wanting to. But the God/Allah debate is an old done and is quite thoroughly documented by academics. If some of my fellow FTer's had the courage to do some honest research on this issue they might come away with a new understanding of Allah the Moon God.

PS. Ever wonder why tiny little Israel can and always will beat any arab army in the battlefield? Well, corrupt and incompetent buffoons why run the vast majority of arabs countries and military do help, but there is a "higher" reason too.

Dude, you are a complete riot. Why do some Christians have to try to ruin Christianity for the rest of us? I am delighted that you and your personal Jesus are happy - your exclusive paradigm seems to work well for you.

Why do all the spittle dripping mouth breathers turn to academia for their confirmation? Leave us out of this.

this thread is on its way to being closed or at the very least moved to OMNI

Folks, if we can keep it on topic and not discuss religions or attack other posters, I will keep it here.

Sorry to have to tell you this, but you have failed to explain a critical fact.

If you are an expert on Islam, then we have more questions for you? ;)

Christians and Arab Jews use the Arabic word for God Allah just like the Spanish call God Dios and the French call God Dieu.

Or is Dios and Dieu also one of the 360 gods that pre-Judaism and pre-Christianity Mediterranean peoples worshipped? ;)

I guess that means God is also one of the 360 gods that pre-Judaism and pre-Christianity had.

Seconded. How is this thread enhancing my ability to upgrade or move more smoothly through an airport? The OP's question was legit, I agree, but the flamers have since moved in. Please close it.

I'd just move it to flame baiters paradise. :D
