Multiple segments
 

I am a newbie here so this may be too simple a question. I want to go from Providence, stop over for several days in Knoxville and then fly to Dallas. Is there any cheap way to do this other than multiple tickets???

You didn't say if you were returning back home or not (to Providence). If so, go to the multiple destination area of travelocity or one of the others, and they should hook you up -- you would only need one ticket regardless, but if you return back to your point of origination its considered a round trip, and thus much cheaper.
