Buenos Aires hotels
We are looking for a good hotel in Buenos Aires before a cruise. The price range for 4* hotels at cheaptickets.com range from $31 (Gran King) to $159 for the Marriott. Does anyone have a recommendation?

Sheraton Libertador is a good hotel, well run and a good location. Some of the rooms are run down, others are very nice (so it probably helps if you have Starwood status here). Rates vary but should be under USD 60 making it good value. Almost all of the BA hotels are good so you can't really go wrong no matter what you pick.

We joined SPG at the SPG booth behind the lobby of the Sheraton before we checked in, this helped a LOT.

I had a great stay at the NH City hotel.. they have a few other 4/5-star hotels in the city.. though what you pay for a 5-star is just great, so why not shell out the extra money? Sure, you can get away with a 3-star for $35/night.. but it's nice to splurge for cheap.

I loved the Hilton. It is slightly out of the center of the city but it is one of the best hotels I've ever stayed at.
Rent "9 Queens" and most of the movie takes place there, BTW. |

The 8th and 9th floor are both executive level floors with the lounge on the 8th. The rooms on the other floors are, as far as I can tell, indistinguishable from the rooms on the 8th and 9th. The only difference may be that ready for use cell phones may not be in some rooms on other floors. It's amongst the best Hiltons out there. |
