Help with large fragile carryons?

Crossposted from the SQ forum, but any general tips would be helpful...

This weekend, I need to fly from Newark to Jakarta on SQ. I need to carry along a large and heavy piece of computer equipment (about the size of a pizza box weighing nearly 20 kilos). I cannot check it as freight since it is a delicate component, but it is too large to carry around easily.

Does SQ have any solutions for this problem?

Are you worried about having to carry it through the airport? You could get some of those removable luggage wheels to cart it around. On board, if you can board first you probably won't have any problem with the overhead - or ask the FA's if there is a more secure place. The closets are weight-restricted, so that may or may not work...between the last row of seats and a bulkhead often works too, so long as the seats will still recline.
