Baggage allowance for children

does anyone know what this is for an infant actually purchasing a ticket? I know the allowances for an infant only paying infant fare.

Purchased ticket = normal baggage allowance (varies by airline and route).

On AA, the purchase of a 50% infant fare (domestic travel) entitles the infant to the same luggage allowance as any other passenger. And meal, on those few routes still featuring meals. :)

Infant/child gets the same allowance as any other ticket holder. My wife and I have managed to check a ski bag, 2 ski boot bags, a portable crib and 2 suitcases, plus carry on a diaper bag, laptop, purse, portable DVD player, car seat, misc stuffed animals, and a gate-checked stroller while travelling with our little one.

It's quite a sight walking down the jetway, although once on board it actually takes less overhead space then my Rollaboard/laptop for business trips.
