I need a car @ approx. 1:30/2:00 AM. Thurs. 9/30
Flight sch. to arrive EWR 12:52AM.

Avis is 24 hours
Dollar is 24 hours
Hertz is 24 hours
National is listing online as being 24 hours, you mwy want to double check that one
I believe Budget is also 24 hours, though not sure on that one.

duh, I just edited my post to correctly read Enterprise vs. National. Too much useless info whizzing around in brain.
Your info makes me more comfortable about using Priceline / hotwire for car.
Priceline = $61 per night @ Radisson, Saddle Brook, NJ (3*) - exactly where I needed to be. Listed rate is $95-130, 2+ day stay gets 20% discount, but $61 per night is about $135 less.
Thank you big time. ^

All three are together and if by chance you have trouble could go to one of the others....I have had trouble with Avis early in the morning (4 or 5 am) trying to return cars...but picking one up should be easier as the car should be waiting for you, especially if your a preferred member. If your not a member of any of the three I'd aim for Hertz as I think they have the best customer service of the three at EWR - which isn't saying much.
Dollar might be "off-airport" and if it is DO NOT USE IT. I can't remember if it was dollar or alamo that I had to use once in an emergency and it was a disaster - took over 3 hours to go from airport to leaving the parking lot - incompetance would be a complement.
