They pushed the button... trip planning

The "purchase" button was pushed last night (possibly by BA rep?) on a RTW trip with a few travel agent coding & flight errors. Good thing is it's only $75 + taxes to change/re-issue and allows a few days to plan on 1W RTW.

Many thanks to FTers. Going on first RTW trip, part business part vacation and going in F as it's about 70% cost of an out and back J ticket - everyone benefits.

Finish Asia portion in Shanghai on Sep 17 (leave 18th or 19th). Then have until Oct 3 in Oz / Nz before returning. What to do? Was thinking of the following:

- leaving Shanghai for HKG on 18th then to AKL means Sat. night on plane but enjoying AKL on Sun. Leaving on 19th means arrival in AKL about noon Mon 19th.

- AKL 2-3 days (1.5 days biz)
- ZQN area 3-4 days
- MEL 2 days (2 days biz)
- SYD area 4 days

Objectives:
- get the vacation days (1.5 days in past over a year)
- hiking, outdoor exercise, ZQN adventures (except bungee jumping)
- find interesting things/out of the way places,
- vineyards (the lesser known, like Thelema in South Africa in 1991 and 3 years later they were named winemaker of the year)
- special events?
- Sydney opera house
- return starting from SYD as flights have F class

And if make it through that trip, have a milestone bday and Europe biz trip within a week following.

Thoughts, suggestions, etc welcome. Again many thanks FTers. Here's a website I've used for a couple of years to find out what's going on in the world. Hope this is helpful.
