Travel to London the last week of August.

I just found out about a conference in London I'd like to cover at the end of August (labor day weekend). Is there any chance of getting a ticket at this late date under $1000?

ok I live in DC. But I can fly out of New York or DC . I would need to be in London August 28th through September 2. Flexible on leaving and returning.

Also would be nice to know which sites you've already searched and what fares you've come up with. There are many people here who would be happy to help....but ya gotta put a little effort in yourself. :)

sorry! i'm new to this - ok i had done some searching and i'd seen $1300 doing exact dates on united. but now i see $511 if i leave aug. 25 and come back on sat. the 4th...i just put it into orbitz.
