help needed with broken journey
 

Hi,

I have a flight from austin to boston which I am going to leave at Washington DC. (on United air). I want to take the toddler car seat with me, but I can not checkin it upto boston. Can I checkin the car seat only for first leg? (even though the ticket is two legs)? Can I gate-checkin the car seat so that I can
get it at the gate when I get down?

One question: Do you have a return leg from BOS to Austin? If you do, not getting on the IAD-BOS flight will cancel the return journey.

This is the return leg of BOS-AUS-BOS
So I am giving up the last part (Washington-BOS)
