Alcholic Drinks on JAL

I have heard that alcoholic drinks on JAL are free even in economy, is this true?

Isn't that the case with virtually every full-service carrier apart from the N.American ones? Never been on JAL but I'd be surprised if you had to pay for booze on their planes.

Only North American airlines charge for booze in coach AFAIK.

noone here has claimed that all north american carriers charge for booze. it has merely been suggested that a correlation exists. nw and ua don't charge either.

True, I should have been more precise, I refered to longhaul service only. Sorry.

I believe that Aer Lingus and Icelandair are non-US carriers that charge for drinks transatlantic.
