Does anyone have any experience with the-hotels.com?
I'm planning to stay a week in a hotel in San Francisco late Septemer. Thru internet search, found that some rates given by www.the-hotels.com are much lower than I can find elsewhere. But as full payment is charged immediately upon reservation request, I am a little concerned because their site is quite simple and there are no reviews about them, as far as I've checked on the net. Does anyone have any experience with them? I'd appreciate any pointers that anyone can give me!

First, a big welcome to Flyertalk, nide !!
While I can't help you directly with this particular outfit, I'm sure there are others here that will. I do have some feedback on a similar site, www.hotels.com -- they also require that the full payment be charged at time of reservation. This isn't uncommon at cut-rate places. It always pays to be cuatious when dealing with an unknown party, though, and hopefully someone who has used them can give you some feedback. Again, welcome to the club. |
Online reservation companies
Thanks for your post, hnechets!
As you pointed out, I noticed they look similar to www.hotels.com in terms and conditions, except having the quite simple ‘About Us’ content and no FAQs. It will probably work fine if advance full payment is a common practice (thanks for letting me realize this). I also found another cut-rate place (http://sanfranciscohotelsreservations.net) with no ‘About Us’ and other info such as support and contact. Gee, it seems not uncommon to provide almost no information about the online reservation companies. |
