Electric Carts

Has anyone figured out the protocol on the use of electric carts for making tight connections?
Does one reserve in advance, a la wheelchairs?
Does one flag one and hope that it will stop? Does one just limp and look pathetic?

Welcome to Flyertalk!

If you have a medical condition, let the airline know and ask if they can have a cart waiting when you arrive.

If you don't have a medical condition, but have a significan distance between gates, I would not hestitate to flag a cart down. That's part of their job.

Yeah, but good luck trying to get one to stop - maybe at 3 A.M.

My point exactly! I'm 81 years old, but look younger and haler I guess, 'cause they whiz right by my polite waves.

I can run faster than those stupid carts.

i just get annoyed when the cart insists it has the right-of-way no matter how many people are in front and what kind of line they're standing in.
