MAN airport hotels? Radisson?

I have made a reservation at the Radisson at the MAN airport. Has anyone stayed there? Is it a good choice or are there others you would recommend?

I have never stayed at the Radisson, but I know that it is very convenient to the airport, you don't even have to exit the airport to get to it.

I stayed at the Hilton which is about a 3 minute shuttle ride - 10 minute walk from the airport and thought it was a very nice place. If you want, I can email you a few photos of the Hilton's room .

I agree completely with yevlesh2. The Radisson is closest. I stayed at the Hilton last November. It is really less than a 10 minute walk, but I had to ask someone to point me in the right direction first. I was very satisfied with the Hilton. I had a single room for 62 pounds.

The Radisson is currently Manchester's one and only 5* hotel! Guests of my employer (and visiting employees from other offices) often stay there and all find it a good place to stay.

If proximity to the airport is not your overriding concern then the city centre (20 minutes away in good driving conditions) has some good 4* hotels all of which are close to some very good places to eat.

There is also a Thistle Hotel - I haven't stayed at the airport location but have at the one downtown, quite nice.

I stayed at the Radisson in Dec 2002, I had an overnight layover while changing carriers (Aer Lingus to US Air) before heading back to the states. It is a very nice hotel and was located off of the walkway between Terminal 2 and the train/bus station (you go through the station on the upper level to get to Terminals 1 & 3).

It was very quiet for an airport hotel, I couldn't hear any of the airport noise in my room, or anywhere else in the hotel.
