Airport Parking: Avoid Johnny Park!
Went on the road last week for work and decided to try a new lot (usually use the LAX "B lot") but decided to splurge for indoor parking at Johnny Park. It's quasi valet...meaning you've got to leave them your keys, which I wasn't happy about...but I've done valet before with no negative results, so figured it'd work out again this time.
It didn't. I got back to my car and my cds (and visor holder) had been swiped, the stereo jerked around with, and the retractable antenna was almost broken off...it's on the verge of falling off now. Talked to a manager before I left, and he asked me to fill out a report. I was tired, pissed off, and didn't know if anything else was missing so I asked if I could mail it in. He said fine. I did so, with a nice letter explaining what they were to do. I just got a letter back from them...not even a form letter, a photo copy with my name written on the top...."while we are dishearted to learn of your claim...we must regretfully inform you...we deny your claim." Anyhow, it's not the end of the world, I know. But I'm not dropping the matter either--so I figured I can start by [b]warning everyone that has occasion to park at LAX-- DO NOT PARK AT JOHNNY PARK.[b] |
Sorry about your bad experience. http://www.flyertalk.com/travel/fttr...orum/frown.gif You might try small claims court.
However, I have used Johnny Park twice, the most recently being last month, and have had no problems. Incidently, I found their price was cheaper when booked through www.parkingaccess.com than with their own web site. |
