Roanoke Extended Stay Hotels

I'm going to Roanoke for 14 nights for a training class. I've narrowed it down to 3 options

1) AmeriSuites Roanoke Airport
2) MainStay Suites ROA
3) Extended Stay America ROA

Has anyone ever stayed at one or all of these hotels, any opinions on what to choose (providing that money is not a consideration)

Also who has the most/best television channels?

It depends on your needs. I have never liked Extended Stay. If I had to choose, I would choose Extended stay's Studio Plus Product( if available). Amerisuites seems like the best option. I have never stayed at any Mainstay property.

I've stayed at the Airport Amerisuites in Roanoke, it's was okay - nothing really fancy but also not a hole in the wall. There are a number of hotel/suite type places around the airport, you can always book a couple of nights at the Amerisuites and then check out the other options when you get into town, good luck! http://www.flyertalk.com/travel/fttr...orum/smile.gif

Wish I could tell you more about the extended stay hotels but the only hotel I've stayed at was the Wyndham near the airport. It was okay.

However, if you get the chance to stay downtown in Roanoke, that's what I'd do. That city is loaded with restaurants and very enjoyable to walk about.

I haven't stayed at Extended Stay America in Roanoke, but I've stayed for weeks at a time in at least 10 of their properties. It's not the Ritz, but IMO BY FAR the best value going. I'll be back in the one in La Mirada, CA soon, and actually looking forward to it.

Of course if money is no object, there are much nicer suite hotels. Candlewood Suites are awesome, as is Larkspur Landing.

Vase: Did the AmeriSuites have wireless highspeed internet?

Braslvr: Candlewood/LakeSpur do look awesome too bad there aren't any in Roanoke.
