After played with Trenitalia web site for several days, I have successfully booked 2 EuroStar tickets from Milano to Roma 20:00 - 0:30 (There is a train leave 22:35 from Milano and arrive about 6:10, but there is no sleeper or couchette tickets selling on that train).

Here is some tips I used for internet booking:

1) The best internet browser for Trenitalia.com booking is Netscape (that is the one I used after failing on Internet Explorer).

2) If you use Internet Explorer, then you have to reset your internet options. Steps as follow:
- Go to "Tools" on the menu bar
- Then choose "Internet Options" from pull down list
- Click the tab "Privacy"
- Set "setting" to Medium
- Then Click "Edit" button
- Type "http://www.trenitalia.com" into "Address of Web Site" field"
- Then click "allow" button
- The field of "Managed Web Sites" will show following message: Domain: trenitalia.com; Setting: Always Allow
- Then click "OK"

3) Now you can purchase your Italian train tickets on line.

4) Since December 14, 2003, all EuroStar train booked from Trenitalia.com site will have ticketless option, means after using credit cards to purchase online. Trenitalia will send you an email with Reservation Code, C.P. Code, your name, number of passengers, train class, assigned sets, to your email address. You need to print out this email and present it to the train attendant.

5) The "Language Tool" on Google web site is very useful tool for booking on the italian site if you do not understand Italian
