I'm stuck on the syllable question:

four countries on earth have one syllable in their name:

So Far, I got Ghana and Chad.

And for the seven that contain the letter J...

I got Japan, Jordan, Jamaica, Azerbaijan, Tajikistan

I'm doing this without a map so bear with me a little bit. http://www.flyertalk.com/travel/fttr...orum/smile.gif

Ghana has two syllables. Hint, there's a few in Europe.

Hey, you've done well without a map. For the remaining two, have a look around the Red Sea and the South-West Pacific. The latter country has a very good rugby team that just missed out on a quarter final berth at the Rugby World Cup when Scotland scored a try in the last minute of their pool 'B' match.

Forget Ghana, its got two syllables. Look in Europe. All could be visited on a Eurail Pass, bit one might need a ferry crossing to get there!

for this one you either need a map or Google! There is a Pacific Island with a J in it (they played in the Rugby World Cup last month). Also have a look for the Republic of Djibouti.

A cool site which helps out on puzzles like this is run by the UN:

http://www.un.org/Pubs/CyberSchoolBu...infonation.htm

You can search the country list for "J" or find out the currency for Malawi.

I guess Ghana has two syllables. I don't think I was doing the clapping thing like I should have. For the remaining ones, I figured those out within a minute. Thanks for the EuroRail tip. Don't know why but I was looking in the Carribean and Africa (hence the Ghana connection). Didn't expect them to be "right there"

Thanks for the other two. I can locate those on a blank map no problem.
