Flight deals during Olympics to places other than Europe?

Flight deals during Olympics to places other than Europe?
Do airlines tend to offer deals during the Olympics to continents other that where the event is being held? You would think that as traffic went up to the Olympic site the loads would go down elsewhere.
Anyone have any thoughts on this?
