Vacation suggestions
 

-- No driving involved (ie, no car rental)
-- early Nov or early Dec
-- 4 or 5 days
-- me and best friends (not romantic)

Where should we go? So far I only have Vegas in mind.... Any spa destination that fits above criteria?

Here's a suggestion that might be a little different and has a bit of activity.(since you mentioned Vegas) Try London. Air fares are great for that time of year, no car needed, plenty to see and do. Good food, plenty of pubs, theater, etc. The people are great and speak English. (well...kind of)
Everything within walking distance and Tube.

Second the vote for London. We go over at least once every November and December (sometimes more often if the prices are really good), few crowds, great museums, great theater, very good beer, and like has already been said, the language barrier is just a bit worse then in Turkey http://www.flyertalk.com/travel/fttr...orum/smile.gif

Take the train out to Oxford or Windsor one day, there is a ton of stuff you can do.

You could always try Key West for a warm destination. If you like snorkeling or boat trips then you could keep occupied for a few days. Good nightlife and no car needed. Key West is really small.

I love London at that time of year! Everything is decorated for Christmas. I would say pick your favorite major European city and GO! As everyone else has mentioned, fewer crowds, good airfares, and plenty of availability for whatever kind of accommodation you are seeking.

I have a lot of friends who think that (a) Europe is ungodly expensive and (b) it's impossible to do a 4-5 day trip to Europe. Kinda funny in a way. http://www.flyertalk.com/travel/fttr...orum/smile.gif

Quebec City. Good food, interesting sites, terrific snowmobiling. Nothing like scooting along at 80 miles per hour on a snowmobile!
