Baggage Transfer Delta-Virgin-BMI
 

I will be flying from ATL-JFK-LHR-AMS next month and was considering the pros/cons of checking my bag all the way through from Atlanta (I would really like to have my clothes when I get there). A Delta Check-In agent in ATL last week reccomended that I check to JFK, reclaim, and then recheck on Virgin to London direct to BMI and Amsterdam. I have three hours in JFK, so if flights are on-time, a recheck is possible. Any thoughts or feedback would be appreciated. Thanks.
