In line with busiest airport and with DAT coming out last week the WN is the largest domestic airlines in terms of customers boarded, and AA advertising as the largest airline, How is/can/should airline size be defined/ranked?
Revenue - AA Largest Net Assets - WN would be largest Passengers boarded - WN Cities served AA?, UA? Employees AA Income -WN Should commuter carriers be thrown in with mainline? Thoughts? |

Thoughts?</font> WN is largest as far as domestic US passengers are concerned, but I'd guess AA still carries more passengers total. I think NW serves more US cities than anyone else, though I'm not sure if that's true anymore. Commuter traffic is an interesting question. Would you also include code-share traffic? Also what about seat-miles? And for revenue would you just include actual passenger operations, or would you also include loyalty programs, freight, catering, and other sources of revenue? |
