How do you relieve stress?
I have been clenching my jaw lately and it is driving me nuts. I have not had the time to go to the "country" where there are trees and fresh air, lately to relax. The nasty people here are making me nuts.

There are a lot of yoga poses that are simple and are quick stress reducers. Some deep belly breaths can help too. |

I only had dirty-minded suggestions (ha ha). Some people respond well to buspirone (BuSpar) for bruxism (the fancy name for jaw clenching.) It's an off-label prescription, but it's worth a shot. Better than a mouth-guard anyway. A lot of people have daytime headaches because of jaw clenching. Anxiety disorders are becoming so common--I know this both personally and professionally. The best answers seem to be the old standbys: exercise, avoiding booze, and meds when warranted. Lycka till, Mats. |
