Baggage problems in DFW on 8/12/03
 

I am a PLT on AA and was at Term C in DFW picking up my parents. After about 3 hour delay due to weather the plane arrived. Then all the commotion started. According to Baggage service agent there were too many flights to handle at one time. So we waited about a hour and a half, still no bags. At this point it's about 2:30 AM. Baggage service finally said that the bags are still on the plane itself. All this happened to only the one flight. We decided to leave the airport and collect our bags the next day. The bags made it okay, but the issue I have is why AA could not tell me this right after the plane landed.

Does any one know how the whole baggage system works at DFW? look forward to your posts.
