LAS C and D Security gates to be combined
 

On Sunday, I was going thru the new First Class line at the D gates at LAS and the TSA agent told me that they are going to be changing the current set up and combining the C and D gates. That will be such a mess! The C gates always have the longest lines.....

Has anyone else heard this?

Where's the line going to start? At the Tropicana Hotel?

It won't impact many people, but I can think of one way that this would help me out -- occasionally, I've done a multi-carrier connection to take advantage of cheap fares from LAS (such as WN from OAK-LAS and NW LAS-DTW), and have been required to exit security...now, I suppose I won't have to do this anymore?

Is the D-Gate First Class line for "true" F passengers only, or are elites travelling in Y also allowed to use it?

I fly UA to/from LAS. The line for security is always shorter than WN's.
I better be able to use that F line with an upgraded itinerary!

I have used the First Class line with an upgraded itin. In fact, I once asked my angel to stamp my Y boarding pass with the F stamp in order to use the line and she complied...
