What to expect on Biman? Quick.

I am thinking about flying Maslin Executive/Business from JFK-BRU on the DC-10 round trip, what should I expect.

Don't know about Biz class but friends flew tham a couple of years back UK- DXB in Economy, very cheap and it showed. They didn't use them again.

See http://www.bimanair.com/services/services.html

Ahhh.. Biman. One of my most favorite and least favorite airlines, at the same time!

All I will recommend is AVOID it. Like the plague. I have several friends who are employees of the airline, so I have some experience here. For domestic Bangladesh flights, it is fine. Their safety record is hardely sterling, but not terrible either. Maslin class is infinitely better than economy, but that is not saying anything.
Another friend of mind took them BKK-DAC, and swore that he had to sort of stand on the heels of his feet for most of the flight, as the pitch was obviously designed for the youngest Bangladeshi, and no one else.
If price is the determining factor, I would go for E+ on UA anyday.

i fly Biman between LON-BKK all the time, while i was a student. Reason, cheap. They use 2nd hand DC-10 from Singapore airlines. It is easy to spot, as u can see SIA logo everywhere.

I don't do that anymore, now that i have income. Ned not say more.

Handpainted seat numbers and safety notices in the cabin? Need I say anymore?

Well, there is the inedible food, hostile F/A's and minimal pitch. Back in the days when I was a grotty backpacker I used them CCU - DAC - KTM. It was an experience, especially landing at KTM in a DC-10. We braked so hard on landing I though we would end up on on the nose. Very, very disturbing.

I'm talking about Maslin, and I think $665 RT can't be beat..so I am on BG.
Probably.

Thanks,
