I'd suggest upgrading from Business using miles/points!

Your father could pay the difference from C to F!

Pay yourself and make sure to get what you want. If I wanted a cheap ticket, I would buy discounted coach or choose a cheap point of origin!

Sorry for slow reply, have been away for a few days.

Well with the news that BA are going to suspend First on LHR-DEN routes that puts an end to that.

Also the NCW is only in operation usually on the winter routes though as First is being suspended it looks like NCW will be introduced.
