I'd like to add some exotic location here (
):
Some of the beaches at the (state) parks around Lake Tahoe, NV (especially Sand Harbor, Memorial Point, Hidden Beach)
The one which impressed me most was the big beach at Pacific Rim National Park near Tofino, BC (Vancouver island, Canada).
I have to admit that I've not been to the caribbean so far...)

Hey, ralf, seeing your name just reminded me of a boat ride I took in the harbor off Kiel, along the coast - the beaches look lovely (though it must be cold there much of the year) - what are those Baltic beaches like?
Also, Ft. Lauderdale's beach is relatively clean, and pretty.

7 Mile Beach, Grand Cayman
Trunk Bay, St. John, USVI
Magen's Bay, St. Thomas, USVI
a small cove on St. Maarten ( I do not recall the name)
The beach at Tulum (historic site), Mexico.
In Thailand there are a few. Great scenery around the Rayavadee.
The beach at the Amanpulo because it is so secluded.
There are many more!
