Not terribly exotic, but I'll have to throw some of Bermuda's South Shore beaches onto the list.

I flew on BA, having transferred enough Diners Club points to BA during the annual double miles promotion to fly FC roundtrip with my partner from SFO. The flight connected through LHR, then a very short stop over in Nirobi, where we were allowed to walk around the airport and check out the BA lounge and then onto Seychelles.

As for using other program points, since I fly almost exclusively on UA, I was out of luck on using Mileage Plus miles, however, with the Diners Club promotion, I was able to transfer 250,000 DC points and get 500,000 British Airways miles, which we will use this year for a trip on the Concorde in June, as well as last years trip to Seychelles.

Should you end up planning a trip, I have several travel books on Seychelles, which I'll be happy to lend you, just drop me a line.

Raffy- thanks for the offe to lend your travel books. I am still in the planning stage- I will check with Delta- althoug most of my travel is with UA, also. Some say that plananing is most of the fun- but I know that being there will be better. Someone had recmmended trying to use a consolidator in Londonfor the LHR-SEZ segment. I will look into that.

"Beach Week" on the Travel channel starts today (Sunday). Should be fun to see many exotic beaches!

D.D. You are quite right. Of all of the beaches in all of the world, MKB is probably the most beautiful. Perfect sand, perfect water. Unfortunately, the hotel is a mere shadow of its former self (when Rockfeller first built it). As one who has been to nearly every great beach in the world, I say, with great humility, that the beach in front of the Mauna Kea Beach Hotel is as perfect as beach as one will ever find.

Yes, the beach is really nice there. I was fortunate enough to be living there last year with my boyfriend. I miss it...and him.

Anywhere along the Emerald Coast of Florida (Pensacola to Destin Beach) where the sand is as white as snow and the tourists match it!
