Around the world help
 

I'm new to this forum so please bear with me. Tried to do a search on the topic, but when in "search" you have to select which section of the forum. I tried a couple of them but only found airtreks (not useful for me) & aroundtheworld.com (still waiting for a reply).
1) any helpful info on doing a better search?
2)any other useful sites for RTW tickets?

Ideally I would like to buy economy & use FF to upgrade the longer segments to business. Only have enough FF miles in Star Alliance & Air France.

Best forums to search will be OneWorld and Star Alliance. Search for "RTW" or similar (standing for Round The World). In OneWorld forum, also try searching for OWE (One World Explorer) which is the fare type used. Not sure of the *A equiv.

Another great source of info on OneWorld's options is FewMiles Unofficial OneWorld Info Desk.

I think it's kind of funny that we call them RTW's instead of ATW's. I guess 'round the world is easier to say than around the world.
