Connection time in MXP
Hi,
Anyone ever done an international connection in MXP? Is international-to-international possible within 70 minutes? Or allowed by ticketing? Thanks in advance. |
Standard int'l to int'l @ MXP is 1:00. There are some exceptions in the table.
That said, you may want "live advice" from someone experienced with this. (Just for an example, ORD, until a year or two ago had a minimum UA to UA time of :29, which is something you'd never want to do to yourself). [This message has been edited by Eastbay1K (edited 02-07-2003).] |
Thanks!

Another question:
Is the int'l arrivals terminal anything like int'l arrival terminals in the USA, meaning border control and baggage recheck? Or is it like any other USA-domestic stopover where you just go to the next gate? |
Depends where you are connecting to.
If you are arriving from the US and connecting to a Schengen country, you will clear immigration at MXP. If you are connecting to a non-Schengen country, it will be 'like any other USA-domestic stopover', except you must stay in the secure area. Your luggage will be checked through to your final destination in either case. From my experience with AZ, if you have your boarding pass for the connecting flight in hand you will be fine, otherwise... this is why I don't fly AZ unless I have to (missed a wedding because of an IDB once). |
