Passport Renewel

I need to have my passport renewed by March 30 this year. I have an international trip booked every week until then.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to renew it without loosing my old one during this time period.

Thank you,

The closest Passport Agency location to you is Chicago.

You can get your passport the same day but they only see people who are traveling within 14 days. Rather than going in person, your other option is to use one of those visa/passport companies that send someone to stand in line for you.

Go down to the nearest post office and ask them?

Get a short-duration passport issued at an Embassy abroad. Then get your proper passport renewed when you are back in the US and have some time.

Since expedited service is quoted as "within 2 weeks", it sounds like your in trouble.

To add insult to injury, Ohio is served by the New Orleans Passport Agency office:

There is a place to search of local passport agents:

I did a search that showed several locations in Columbus. You should probably call one of them ASAP and see if they can help.

I keep a list of private services on my web site that assist for passport and visa services, including expedited service. I don't know any of these personally, so buyer beware:

You may be able to get it renewed in one day if you go to a passport office in a US Federal Building. I got a new passport in one day at the Los Angeles Federal building. My then current passport was misplaced by a foreign government's consulate office when it was sent to them for issuance of a visa. I took my proof of passport mailing, my foreign travel ticket, and the details of my then current but "lost" passport to the Federal Building and they were able to issue me a new one in 24 hours.

Another option is to get a second passport, which is allowed under certain circumstances.

You may want to try an american embassy on one of your trips. I don't think they are same day anymore, but maybe next day.

Other then that, a visa expiditing service is your best bet unless you have the time to give up at a passport agency, one day to drop it off, and probably the next day to get it back.
