CDG transit time
I'm thinking of taking advantage of a 4GBP fare on EasyJet from LON to CDG next month. The flight arrives at 23:10 and The last RER train is at 23:55. Do you think this connection is possible with only carryon luggage?
TIA, H |
I can't recall where Easyjet lands at CDG? If it's T2, you might have a chance. If it's T1, no way.
However you should check to see how late the AF buses run into the city. They are free. |
You might also check the Roissybus, which runs to Opera and cots 8 Euros. I think the bus stops at each terminal, though you'll need to see how late it runs.

1. EasyJet flies to CDG3 (previously called T9), the charter terminal, which they claim 'is walking distance from the train station.' IIRC, the distance is indeed reasonable. Dress warmly http://www.flyertalk.com/travel/fttr...orum/smile.gif
2. The Air France bus is definitely not free, except for people connecting between CDG and ORY on connecting AF flights. €10/11.50 to Etoile/Montparnasse, stops running at 11pm. 3. The public bus, Roissybus, stops running at 11pm. This flight is cheap for a reason... Any way you could take the previous flight (arr. 21:45), which is usually inexpensive as well? I would say you have plenty of time to make it to the RER station provided your flight arrives on time. It being the last flight of the day, it is at the whim of any delays accumulated during the day. |
Ah yes, I did pay for the AF bus when traveling from Montparnasse to CDG, but I recall not paying from CDG to Montparnasse? Perhaps because I flew in on AF in business class?
Yes, if Easyjet arrives at T9, you are very close to the RER stop, so you should make the train OK. |

Thanks for the helpful info. The downside of this is I'm in a cab to the Bastille area. Can anyone venture a cost for this at that hour(midnight).

It's been a while, but I would guess between 30-40 euros.
