Narita tips?

On my trip to HK I am stuck in Narita for a few hours... any good tips for shopping or dining or hanging out other than in the UAL RCC?

By the time I've responded it will probably be too late. NRT as an airport is rather dull. Narita on the other hand is, from everything I've heard, a nice village / small town to visit. Regrettably, NRT is really out of the way and is design-wise modern but functionally oriented. Enjoy your time at the lounge and plan a longer layover next time to enjoy something of what Japan has to offer.

Oops. I just noticed this. Are you stuck now or will you be stuck? If this is a future trip, try the master of all Narita layover websites. Otherwise do a quick search on NRT or Narita in combination with layover any you will find a multitude of threads on the topic.

Have fun!

I also have a (two) 4 hour layovers in NRT next month. Are there any exceptional Japanese restaurants that are worth going to? It looks like there are many to choose from.

given it's a layover, my guess is you'll stay inside the security area - and in short - the eating choices inside are very poor. Bring your own snack :-) Outside of security - which with 4 hrs you could go through immigratoin and customs there is a wide varity - and checking out the link in the previous post would help.
