I must confess I don't recall. That was the explanation given by the pilot after we had returned to the gate. I was more concerned at the time with getting to Calgary than with confirming the credibility of what he said.

In any case, it was something Delta flew SLC-YYC in the 1995-1997 time frame (which is the closest I can now narrow it down).
