standby fees for shuttle

I have a ticket for the USAir shuttle on Jan 5. If I try to fly AA instead (shuttle tickets are interchangeable), will I need to pay the USAir standby fee?

As this thread is not specifically "Miles" related, please follow it to "TravelBuzz".

In my long experience with US Air and Delta Shuttle -- yes with USAir you always have to pay a fee for any change to your itinerary. Im not quite sure I understand your change from USAir to AA? Where are you flying from to? Nonetheless call USAir and ask them -- also be sure to register for 6 times the miles -- just give them your USAir and United FF# and you will receive SEXTUPLE miles. This is why one should fly delta shuttle. It's much preferred to USair's service and they are more flexible with intinerary changes.

Thank you for the response. I am talking about just flying standby on an earlier flight on the 31st (and the 5th). I understand that on the 31st, I can standby for a different shuttle flight the same day for no fee. However, starting the 1st, there will be a fee to standby for a USAir shuttle flight but not an AA or DL one. Since a USAir shuttle ticket is valid on DL and AA, could I just try to standby on the 5th on an AA flight with my US ticket and avoid the fee?
