Hello,

I have been searching for airfares from Chicago to either Phoenix or Tuscon for Thanksgiving and the cheapest that I have found right now with a departure of 11/27 (pm) or 11/28 (am) is around $250, returning 12/1 (by afternoon). I am wondering if this is a good rate or if I should wait and keep shopping around.

Can any of you seasoned travelers give me any suggestions?

Considering that is Thanksgiving weekend, I would probably consider that a good enough deal.

Having done the same route in reverse the only thing I can think of that could net you a cheaper fare would be to change your travel dates to something less convenient (i.e. come back on Tuesday the 3rd instead of Sunday the 1st).

Considering on Hotwire it's $259, I don't think even the auction sites will be doing much better for you.

Orbitz is showing flights on American for under $200 for your dates and times, you may want to give that a shot if they are still available.
