Using Priceline for Hotel at LAX

I saw in Priceline that one of the regions is LAX. Can I safely assume that hotels which participate in Priceline in this region have shuttles to LAX? I need to do a mileage run and need an inexpensive hotel Sat night, Aug 31. Thanks.

I can't believe that any hotel in the "LAX" region would not offer a complimentary shuttle. The ones I've used at PHL do.

Priceline protects itself, however, with this entry in its FAQ:

"Will my hotel have a courtesy car or shuttle?

At priceline Hotels we promise we'll save you money … but we can't promise
you a ride - that's up to the hotel that accepts your offer. If your hotel does
offer a courtesy car or shuttle they may charge an extra fee. For more
information, call the hotel that accepts your offer."

Analise, in the L.A. section at biddingfortravel.com, the first thread is a list of of all the L.A. area hotels broken down by zone - one of these zones is LAX, which is further broken down by hotel category and name.

This would be a good place for you to start: get the names of the hotels in the category you want for which there have been winning bids and check directly with the hotel's web site.

Every major hotel around LAX that I have stayed at or know of offers free shuttle service.

P.S. The LAX Westin has been getting some decent winning bids. http://www.flyertalk.com/travel/fttravel_forum/wink.gif

Blair's advice is right on the money here I think. Worth way more than 77 cents in any case. http://www.flyertalk.com/travel/fttravel_forum/wink.gif

LAX hotels on bidding for travel.

I used Priceline for a hotel at LAX. I ended up staying at the Westin, which was fine--and it has a free shuttle. The Westin wasn't anything spectacular, but it was fine for a night.
