bringing meat along
I'm planning a trip to russia for the summer. I would like to bring meat for my stay there (3 weeks). It would be about 10 kilo's of cold cuts (corned beef salami...) and 10 kilo of hotdogs does any-one know if I will have trouble getting through costoms. would a letter from the butcher help me out? Buying it in Russia is sadly not an option http://www.flyertalk.com/travel/fttr...orum/frown.gif

I must say, this is a very curious thread...

I think some Russian custom personnel are in line for a nice meaty treat.

Why is buying it in Russia not an option? There are some very good Russian dried sausages, and also plenty of supermarkets importing western goods. Hot dog sausages are widely available.
And by the way, just out of curiousity, how many people are you feeding that consume 20kg of meat in three weeks? http://www.flyertalk.com/travel/fttr...orum/smile.gif |
