Fighter Combat International

are a bunch of ex-Air Force flyers in Arizona who take people dog-fighting (look here for details).

Has anyone had any experience of them, or know anyone who has ? I am thinking about getting a 'dogfight package' for my dad for a birthday present, and would like to know from an independent source if it's any good.

sounds like fun. There was an operation that did this at the airport I used to fly out of (KADS).

I say go for it. I'm sure they let you do the bulk of the flying.

Edit: Jsut saw the web page. They use Extra 300's?? ****. *Serious* aerobatic plane.

Thanks guys.

Good to hear that they're serious planes - my dad was a navigator (what you guys call REOs, if Top Gun is to be believed) on Buccaneers (carrier borne jet bombers) in the 60s, and I think that he'd really enjoy it.

I'll post a review of his experience if I/he go ahead, if anyone thinks it might be interesting....

They are actually RIOs (radar intercept officers), and it is a Navy designation. The Air Force reinstated RIOs with the F15E (IIRC).
